The Sony A7SIII is a remarkable camera - a 6 year old design which has amazing low light performance, even by modern standards, and when combined with the OBSCURA37 pinhole imager delivers compelling moving images with a soft dreamy fidelity harking back to the days of 8mm movie-making.
Oliver was one of the first cinematographers to truly explore and embrace OBSCURA37 capture, even inter-cutting with BLACKWING7 lens footage to build creative, mixed-format motion picture clips which draw the viewer’s attention and challenge traditional image recognition- “what am I experiencing here, images from a lens, or not a lens, or both ?!?”
