A carnival of broken hearts, barroom ballads, junkyard percussion and beautiful American weirdness.

BIG TIME captures Tom Waits at his most theatrical, transforming his legendary 1987 Franks Wild Years tour into a surreal concert film somewhere between a fever dream, a vaudeville nightmare and a late-night cabaret at the end of the world.

Featuring unforgettable performances of Rain Dogs, Clap Hands, Time, Innocent When You Dream and more, the film finds Waits as preacher, drunk, lounge singer and carnival barker, surrounded by smoke, shadows and strange characters.

Part concert film, part performance art, part beautifully deranged cinema.

RARELY SCREENED. NOT TO BE MISSED ON THE BIG SCREEN.

Hong Kong, 1962: Chow Mo-Wan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) and Su Li-Zhen (Maggie Cheung Man Yuk) move into neighboring apartments on the same day. Their encounters are formal and polite—until a discovery about their spouses creates an intimate bond between them. At once delicately mannered and visually extravagant, Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love is a masterful evocation of romantic longing and fleeting moments. With its aching soundtrack and exquisitely abstract cinematography by Christopher Doyle and Mark Lee Ping Bing, this film has been a major stylistic influence on the past two decades of cinema, and is a milestone in Wong’s redoubtable career.

HUNGRY. ANGRY. LONELY. TIRED.
HALT is an acronym used in addiction and alcohol treatment to identify four of the leading triggers of substance abuse, relapse and poor decision-making.
To celebrate the publication of HALT by Graham Reid-Van Every, we are hosting a book launch and special screening of Larry Clark’s lost masterpiece Another Day in Paradise (1998).

Larry Clark’s Another Day in Paradise turns the American crime film inside out. Set against a hazy, half-mythic vision of 1970s back roads and cheap motels, this bruised outlaw odyssey follows two young addicts who fall in with an older couple of career criminals, forming a makeshift family bound together by drugs, desperation and the promise of one last score.

HALT documents the stark environments and interactions taking place within what is becoming an exponentially larger industry by the day.
The foreword is by blogger, photographer and iconic party it girl Meg Yates.
