Keswick Alhambra Cinema is one of the oldest, continuously-running cinemas in the UK. We've been screening films since we opened 1914, throughout both World Wars, stopped in our tracks only by Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021. During the closure we took the opportunity to complete the restoration of the cinema, and added a second studio sized screen, together with the latest Dolby sound and digital laser

projector, enabling us to show a significantly wider range of films with appeal to all ages. Independent and family owned and run, we aim to to give you a great experience in a gorgeous setting. We offer a choice of the latest blockbusters, together with niche and arthouse films, and a full range of live broadcasts from the National Theatre, West End shows, Royal Opera and Ballet and the Met Opera from New York.

It's the final screening of the film DAVID at the Keswick Alhambra today, it was sold out in the small screen so we've moved it to the main auditorium to enable more people to see it at 2.00pm today.

If you're listening to Sara on Radio 2 right now you are hearing about the new film Sunny Dancer - and we have a very special announcement to make - we will be showing the film at 7.30pm on Friday 4th September together with Flynne's Barn, the local cancer retreat in Borrowdale, and ALL the money rasied from ticket sales will go to support the work that's going on there.
Come see a great film, and hear the team from Flynne's Barn on stage afterwards comparing what you've seen in the film with their experience on the ground.

It's the busiest day here for five years, with great films including the new Spiderman movie, as well as The Odyssey, Moana, David, Toy Story and National Theater Live. The popcorn is back (we had run out yesterday) too. We have seats later today still for:
4.15pm The Odyssey (plenty of seats)
4.30pm SpiderMan (only 2 seats left)
7.30pm National Theatre Live: Les Liasons Dangerueses (8 seats left)
7.45pm SpiderMan (plenty of seats but likely to sell out)
