The Shadow 1994 108mins 3.5☆

Before the modern superhero boom, The Shadow gave us the ultimate neo-noir comic book movie. Starring Alec Baldwin as a wealthy pl***oy with the power to "cloud men's minds," this film is a gorgeous masterclass in art deco style, dark atmosphere, and pure pulp fun.
It balances a mysterious, brooding hero with fantastic practical effects, a stellar villain, and that distinct, nostalgic 90s action charm. If you love Batman or classic adventure stories, you need to add this to your collection.

If you love the gritty, trench-coated vibe of Spider-Noir, you’re already a member of the club that will obsess over The Shadow. They both share the exact same pulp DNA—swapping a spider-suit for a sweeping black cloak, dual pistols, and a gorgeous, art-deco world drenched in razor-sharp shadows. Think of it as the ultimate 90s older sibling to Spider-Noir’s monochrome universe!
