Updated guidance on signing of swords at Film and Comic Con Glasgow:-

Due to the current severe threat terror level in Scotland you will still be able to get you swords signed but there are some additional restrictions which we need to make you aware of.

Replica swords must remain securely boxed at all times while being transported to and from the venue.

Attendees bringing replica swords must access the venue via the Boardwalk entrance only. This is the rear of the building outside overlooking the river.

No replica weapons of any kind are permitted through the shopping centre under any circumstance. If you have a sword go the boardwalk entrance first and drop off your item.

On arrival, replica swords must be declared immediately and handed directly to venue security, where they will be signed into secure storage. You will be given a receipt.

Replica swords will remain in secure storage and will only be removed by venue security for the attendee's allocated signing time. Your signed will be signed with him when you are there.

Following the signing, the replica sword will be returned to secure storage and will only be handed back to the owner when they are leaving the venue via the Boardwalk entrance.

Any attendee who fails to declare a replica sword on arrival, or is found to have brought one into the venue without following this process, will be refused entry with the item. If a replica sword is discovered after entry, it will be retained securely by the venue until the attendee is ready to leave.

Whilst this is a different process to previous years, we are sure you can all understand the sensitivity under the current threat level and this we feel is a fair compromise that will still allow you to get your collectible item signed and we thank you for your understanding.
