Okay, so what's happening with Incredibly Strange Film Club?
Unfortunately we were obviously not able to nail down an event for February... Hopefully you missed us as much as we missed you!
Thankfully though, we DO have an event in the works for the month of March with details to follow on what date it will be. And, for those who don't know, March will mark the 11th Anniversary (if you can believe it!) of our first ever film night at NICE N SLEAZY back in 2012!
More details to follow in the coming days of our return and 11th Birthday celebrations... But for those who follow us, you might know that there's a certain film we like to show on our anniversary. In fact, it's the first film we ever screened way back in 2012... 💚
In the meantime, we thought we'd take this opportunity to highlight some younger, newer film nights that have popped up around Glasgow and the surrounding area. If you like our event, we're sure you'll enjoy these folks. We are very excited to see what they've got next on their calendar. They're all at great venues and clearly have a similar love of film as we do!
📼 Trash Cinema at The Old Hairdressers have been hosting b-movie nights since 2018 and recently screened films like Cyborg, Black Dynamite and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2! Give them a like/follow to see what they're up to next! I'm sure it's going to be a great choice.
📼 Cans Cinema at Paisley Craft Beer Co. are a brand new film night in Paisley (near my own personal hometown) in the fantastic setting of Paisley Craft Beer Co! Recently they have shown the Roddy Piper "classic", HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN. Check 'em out!
📼 Nitrate Film Club, also at Old Hairdressers, have recently joined the scene, with a screening of the horror masterpiece AUDITION from 1999. Give these folks a like/follow and see what they've got coming up soon!
