Glasgow Barrio Fiesta 2026

No matter where we go, Filipinoes should always be proud of our rich culture. To the best of my knowledge,only our community overseas hosts a lively and vibrant celebration similar to Barrio Fiesta. It’s a celebration of music, culture, and the spirit of togetherness.

During fiestas back home, family members typically put aside their busy city lives to travel back to their hometowns and provinces to savour the delectable food, enjoys discos and tagays.

Though we are away from home but during the Barrio Fiesta, everytime we order the halo-halo, banana que, and other filipino items from the various pop-up vendors we are reminded of home.

In order to maintain our distinctive legacy so that future generations can continue to enjoy it, I hope that this kind of celebration will continue forever wherever we are.

As Filipino, it's more than a festival, it's our identity that embodies our sense of community, hospitality and belongingness.

Kudos to the organizers for the successful event👏
