Pollywood Community Cinema Pollywood is a mobile community cinema for Pollokshields. It aims to bring local people together and respond to their interests and ideas in a creative way

Pollywood is a mobile cinema for Pollokshields. It belongs to local people and is its output is created or programmed by whoever is involved in running the organisation or organising an event. Pollywood can be anything from a conventional cinema screening to pop up intervention in Pollokshields life. It aims to bring local people together and respond to their interests and ideas in a creative way

to create a cinema which is specific to Pollokshields and will operate both inside and outside the conventional understanding of what a community cinema is. It aims to be inclusive and bring people from across the various communities of Pollokshields together to enjoy film beyond the mainstream which entertains but also helps them understand their lives and other people’s lives better.
