Butterscotch Sunday

Butterscotch Sunday Exeter's independent and intimate pop-up cinema: purveyors of whimsy, gravity and butterscotch popco Unbearable.

Everyday Is Like Sunday.... Morrissey fantasising about a nuclear attack on the British seaside resorts (see Dawlish Warren)

Sunday Girl.... Blondie synth-popping about well-conditioned hair. Sunday Bloody Sunday.... U2, both politicising and paraphrasing the bible. BUTTERSCOTCH SUNDAY.... a pop-up cinema, popping-up on occasional Sundays at The Bike Shed Theatre, on Fore Street, Exeter. We showc

ase films that reach outside of the mainstream and dip their toes into the murky tributaries of independent and outsider culture. All our profits go to local charities (more information on this will be provided with the release of each event's details). Apart from the films, expect to eat some home-baked cakes, find some film-inspired craft and awkwardly shuffle to some of that wretched independent pop music, as I hear it's called these days. Come for the art house cardigan vibes, stay for the so-freshly-made-it's-still-kinda-warm butterscotch popcorn.

One week to go until our woodland screening of Antichrist which has now SOLD OUT! The nights are drawing in and the forest is filled with creatures that only come out in the dark and damp... Next Sunday, please wear shoes with good grip, clothes that shield you from rain, and above all muster up some courage (Dutch or otherwise) for what promises to be a truly disquieting evening of nature and film.

(Homemade sandwiches and warming drinks will be available to purchase as sustenance on this journey into the unknown)
