Sophie has always had a passion for fashion illustration, she was given a stencil sketchbook when she was little and used to love creating different combinations, adding glitter and going crazy with the numerous different outfits! She studied Art and Design at college where her 2 biggest inspirations were flowers (following in her Gran’s footsteps!) and using mixed media to make fashion art. At university she studied surface design and printed textiles where her main focus was creating patterns with florals, focusing on the delicacy of linework and pops of colour. A few years after graduating she reignited her passion for fashion illustrating. Initially through abstract sketches (known as ‘little ladies’) and has now developed into her own style to create bespoke illustrations of the wedding party, bride and groom and guests.

Last night I illustrated at Stone Barn feast night and I met so many gorgeous couples! I even got to meet this lovely couple who booked me as one of their first suppliers after the venue!!

Unfortunately I was already booked for another couples date, so please please, if your thinking of booking don’t delay!

The fairytale wedding I illustrated in a castle!

I had an enquiry a few months ago mentioning rose gardens, the lilly pond at a castle in the Cotswolds. I knew this was a wedding I needed to be at! Harriet and Alex got married mid August, it was heat wave after heatwave yet rain was forecast. You could hear the thunder in the background yet they were determined to have their dream ceremony between the ruins and the lilypond. And they did! Or so I thought, until everyone came spilling in absolutely drenched- my illustrator voice goes: don’t worry, I’ll leave out the water 🙃 apparently they at least got to say I do before the downpour.

I’ve had lots of chats with Harriet on a more personal note, so I couldn’t wait to be able to celebrate with them.

What. A. Day!!

I have only ever thought how cool it would be to go to London Fashion Week to do illustrations. With help from Leanne Alie WE DID IT!! And oooommgg everyone was so so lovely!

When I initially walked up I knew I was inspired, yet I didn’t quite have the courage to go up to people and illustrate them. Roll on a few hours and I was raring to go!

Thank you so much to everyone who was patient enough for me to draw- mind you I think the quickest was literally a few minutes as she had a show to catch!

Roll on the next fashion week!! ….anyone wanna fly me out to Milan or Paris?! 🫣
