We're hosting a quiz night in aid of Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern on Friday 12th June. This charity provides community transport and befriending services for older people, as well as running a community garden and soup lunch for the whole community. To register your team call Wendy on 029 20513700 or pop in to the office at the rear of the community centre. Without community support DPVC wouldn't be able to continue.

Dinas Powys Community Cinema Autumn Season reaches a climax on Saturday 11 April 2026 with “The Choral”. Doors open 6.30 pm. Tickets £5.00

As World War I rages on, Dr. Henry Guthrie takes over a British choral society that's lost most of its men to the army. The community soon discovers that the best response to the chaos of war is to make beautiful music together.

“Along with Fiennes, I found myself completely enthralled by Amara Okereke's turn as Salvation Army volunteer Mary. With a sublime voice and charismatic presence, Okereke commands the screen magnificently. Truthfully, the entire ensemble is strong here. From its opening moments, I was quite taken by Mike Eley's lensing and original music from George Fenton”.
