Chit-Chat & Chores is primarily about engagement and connection. We were asked to visit an elderly lady who really didn't want any support. Before the introduction the family warned us that she might be rude and didn't want us to be offended.....
I cannot explain the shenanigans these two now get up to and the fun they have. Yesterday the client wrote.....

I can’t take my eyes off this beautiful glass bird you have given me!! A million thanks it really is gorgeous- will always remember my birthday as it shines and the chats & laughs we have together. Bless you! I’m fine & see you soon. x

We are back. Exercise & Socialise with Lou Rose on Thursdays at 11am, the Generation Centre, Goldsworth Park. Stand if you wish but designed for those who need to sit. It's ever so fun but more importantly it is very good for your health and wellbeing.

Join us for an informal Dementia
talk led by Omonike Aremu, Anchor’s South Dementia Specialist.
We aim to raise awareness, where Omonike will share general information about dementia, provide an overview of the condition and look at pathways for support.
There will also be time to ask questions, meet other local organisations and connect with others who may be facing similar experiences.
Refreshments will be provided. We’ll be supported by the below individuals and groups and many more:

Action for Carers Surrey Assist unpaid family and friend carers aged 5-99 years across Surrey. This includes 121 support, a Helpline, advocacy, workshops, support groups, and events – both for information and for carer wellbeing (all free).

Claire Edwards Eldercare Consultant
Claire is also a Registered Nurse who provides independent care advice to older people and their families. Dedicated to providing support and companionship to lonely and isolated older people, ‘Bringing friendship, kindness and companionship to older people’

Chit Chat and Chores has been asked to take part in a community event supporting those with Dementia.
We will be at the Woking Library on 5th October, 11-12.30.

West Hall Care Home, Daniel Kasaska, financial adviser, the Council, Careline, Silver Friends, Turners Oak Estate Agency, Claire Edwards eldercare consultant, Right at Home care agency, Action for Carers, Community Meals and the Handy Person Service will all be there to help you. Do pop along....
