Some boys can’t wait to grow into their dad’s shoes…this little guy can’t wait to grow into his dad’s needlepoint belt! At just 3½ years old, he loves it so much that he wraps it around himself twice and proudly wears it anyway because it’s covered with all of his dad’s favorite things. It only seemed right that he finally got a belt of his very own. I have a feeling this one is going to be just as well loved! ❤️

I always enjoy seeing how clients make a canvas their own. Instead of completely covering the painting, this stitcher used light stitches so the artwork could still be seen beneath the thread. Such a unique interpretation, and I’m honored to have been part of it. Isn’t it beautiful?

Ten years ago today, on July 4th, I posted this photo of one of my very first hand-painted needlepoint canvases. Looking back, I’m filled with gratitude for the wonderful mentors who shared their knowledge and encouraged me along the way. Every canvas has been an opportunity to learn and grow. Even today, there are times when I step back from a painting and think, “I really like this,” while still wondering what the client will think. That’s probably something every artist understands. Seeing where this journey began reminds me how thankful I am for everyone who has helped me along the way.
I cannot do this without you. I am grateful for all of you. Happy Fourth of July and stay safe. Stay sane and remember everyone deserves to be loved and accepted.!❤️
