Join us for this cinema-themed experience where you’ll be taken on a 2 hour walk into the history of cinema and the film Midnight in Paris, followed by drinks and a screening of « L’Etranger » with English subtitles at cinema L'Arlequin

Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have teamed up to bring you a two hour walk into the history of cinema: Welcome to Paris in the 20s, through the lens of Woody Allen and the Lost Generation. Just like Gil in the movie, you will travel back in time and meet mythical writers and artists who found a new home in Paris in those times. In the Latin quarter, one of the most frequently shot in Paris, you will find the movie locations and breathe the magic and whim of the New York director.

✨ Montmartre movie tour 🇬🇧

Join us for this movie-themed experience where you’ll be taken on a walk through cinema history in Montmartre, followed by drinks, and a screening of « Amélie » with English subtitles at Cinéma l'Epée de bois offered by Lost in Frenchlation.

With its charming village look, Montmartre is one of the most filmed areas of Paris. During this cinematic walking tour inspired by Amélie (2001), you’ll see how it has always attracted films seeking to depict old Paris and to pay tribute to its artists. Together, we will walk in the footsteps of this rich history which combines painting, cinema and literature and mix very successful with lesser-known films that we will discover thanks to the many anecdotes, photos and video clips on tablet. A walk off the beaten track to rediscover the Butte.

Highlights of the tour : the Amélie grocery, treasure hunt garden, the Sacré-Coeur, and the beautiful cinematic streets of Montmartre with other movies such as American in Paris (1951), Funny Face (1957), A Monster in Paris (2011), Ratatouille (2007), La Vie en Rose (2007), John Wick 4 (2023), Emily in Paris, and more…

Join us for this cinema-themed experience where you’ll be taken on a walk through cinema history in Montparnasse neighborhood, followed by the screening of « Cléo de 5 à 7 » with English subtitles at L'Arlequin !

Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have teamed together to celebrate one of the greatest French directors, “the grandmother of New Wave”, Agnès Varda. Through the streets of Montparnasse, Denfert and Vavin, we will travel to the filming locations of her feminist films. Being a local for more than 60 years, Varda liked to say that by understanding the people, we better understand the place, and by understanding the place, we can better understand the people.

✨ French New Wave movie tour 🇬🇧

Join us for this cinema-themed experience where you’ll be taken on a 2 hour walk into the history of French New Wave cinema and discover movie locations, followed by a screening of « Nouvelle Vague » with English subtitles at L'Arlequin.

The Latin Quarter is the cinephile district par excellence. Known for its art house cinemas, it naturally attracted the young critics of the New Wave who became filmmakers. The tour will take us to the Luxembourg garden and its surroundings, where the director Jean Luc-Godard shot one of his very first short films and François Truffaut filmed The 400 Blows. From the banks of the Seine near Saint-Michel, where we find the protagonists of Breathless, we’ll pass by the Pantheon cinema or the Sorbonne. This tour will allow us to approach the origin of the New Wave movement, its links to American culture and the youth of the time period.
