Sound on Screen presents music feature films with special programs such as live guest appearances in the Universum Filmtheater cinema and the Riptide Café (arts music forum). Once a month outstanding music documentaries as well as music feature films are shown. We also present After Show Events such as parties and concerts. The Sound on Screen series began in September 2010 with the showing of The Doors: WHEN YOU’RE STRANGE. Since then we have screened features including ROCKSTEADY, NOWHERE BOY, BLUE NOTE, SOUND IT OUT, SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN, as well as highlights like LEMMY, SOULBOY, THE WHITE STRIPES – UNDER GREAT WHITE NORTHERN LIGHTS, BACKYARD, HEIMA, SOUND IT OUT, SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN, BEWARE OF MISTER BAKER, BIG EASY EXPRESS, STOP MAKING SENSE, 1991: THE YEAR PUNK BROKE, SOUNDBREAKER, GOOD VIBRATIONS, THE PUNK SINGER, MONKS, AMY, B-MOVIE, ARCADE FIRE, AUSTIN TO BOSTON, SUME, DON'T LOOK BACK, LO SOUND DESERT, GIMME DANGER, MILES AHAID, BUNCH OF KUNST, BIRD ON A WIRE ...
