The European consultation Stories at Risk: Cultural Diversity, Democracy and Debate on Screen is now open for participation.✨

Developed by Seriesly Berlin, Stories at Risk is a European consultation and think tank project selected for sponsorship by the Council of Europe Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions. The consultation is implemented in collaboration with a Europe-wide network of leading festivals, markets, professional associations and industry organisations, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening creative freedom, cultural diversity and dialogue across the audiovisual sector.

The consultation is aimed at writers, producers, broadcasters and streaming platforms, festivals and markets, and film commissions, public funding bodies and other public institutions working in the field of European series. It examines how political, economic, editorial, regulatory and reputational factors may shape the development, commissioning and production of series, and seeks to better understand the conditions under which stories are created and brought to audiences.

📅The consultation is anonymous and takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. It will remain open until 10 August 2026.

The findings will contribute to the Stories at Risk online Think Tank sessions. The findings will be presented at Seriesly Berlin📌 in September 2026 as well as published in an executive summary.

✨Na co se můžete těšit? Třeba na seriál Reykjavík Fusion, islandský Medvěd říznutý kriminálkou. Dále uvedeme tvrdou existenciální komedii My Funeral, která si pohrává s otázkou: Přáli byste si prožít vlastní pohřeb? Její hlavní hrdina totiž tvrdí, že nikdy nebyl tak živý jako právě při něm. The second program section of the 9th annual festival is Focus: Iceland! 🇮🇸 We’ve put together a selection of the best Icelandic TV series from recent years.

✨What can you look forward to? How about the series Reykjavík Fusion, an Icelandic take on The Bearwith a crime twist. We’ll also be screening the hard-hitting existential comedy My Funeral, which plays with the question: Would you like to experience your own funeral?
