Keaton's The General will get the Playhouse Cinema treatment next week on the 19th at 7pm with comedy programmer Chris Seguin introducing and Jordan Klapman accompanying.
So if you missed our General/Railrodder bill at the Paradise late last year or you just need a Keaton pick-me-up, make plans to head to Hamilton (and the Playhouse is gorgeous too). Link in comments.

I was reminded that dipping into our archives can reveal some interesting finds. The Silent Cinema, a 46 seater at 133 Avenue Rd. In Toronto opened up in 1969 with John Barrymore's Don Juan as the headliner. Looks like they even had a doorman. Anyone out there with memories of the place?
