Its been a tough and emotional week. Last of the 82-70s being ripped out and an end to a long journey for many of us who have worked on them. Many of us started our careers on these machines. Long battles to make sure they worked as efficiently as possible. They taught us lessons in life. This is the end of the Hollywood free fall machines, but im sure the lessons we have learned on the way will stay with us.

Lane 7 in Torquay got some love today. The tail plank had the edge strip missing for some time. The pinspotter worn the wood smooth. I first removed the many snapped screws ends, routered the edge down and made it square again. Fitted a new edge strip and used a round over bit to take the sharp edge away. All in all im very happy with it.

Loving this from Jack in Torquay. This wall by VIP had consistent damage. Often Jack would need to fill, sand and repaint. Thinking more creatively Jack repurposed some old wood and created this solution. The wall looks better and it's less likely to get damaged. Well done Jack!
