Avoca Beach Theatre began in 1948 in the front gardens of brothers Mervyn and Norman Hunter to raise funds to build the Avoca Beach rock pool. In Christmas 1951 the building as it currently stands was build & has continued to change and grow over time. We love to bring the quality film to a discerning audience,
and endeavor to bring you the best films available. We welcome you to come and enjoy ou

A NIGHT IN CASABLANCA weaves iconic cinema, live music, classic big-band sound and full jazz orchestra spectacle into one immersive afternoon at Rick’s Cafe.

Set against the atmosphere of 1941, with unforgettable visuals from Casablanca on the big screen, this live event features the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and more.

Starring jazz legend Richelle “Bootsie” Booth and featuring the sultry tones of Breanne Jayn, it’s romance, swing, wartime glamour and big-band fire.
